The 1st co-ordination meeting of the ReMED Project Transfer Phase was organized by the project’s latest partners – AREANATejo, in collaboration with the support of the Municipality of Campo Maior at the Campo Maior Tourism Office on the 14-15 September.
Although the project started in January 2024, the project was selected for the Transfer Phase in July 2026, with AREANATejo being one of the partners invited to join this Phase. The aim for the new partners is to capitalise on the main results of the Project – namely the RBE Assessment System, which consists of applying climate risk assessment tools at the local scale. These tools are designed to support public authorities and other stakeholders in identifying climate risks and local vulnerabilities, as well as defining specific adaptation measures, working in synergy with LDCs and SEAPs.
In this context, AREANATejo will apply these actions in the Municipality of Campo Maior, which will act as a receiver/pilot municipality in Portugal.
